Text Box: The NYS Bridge Authority ONLY operates the Bear Mountain Bridge, Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, Mid-Hudson Bridge, Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge and Rip Van Winkle Bridge.  We can ONLY answer requests for these five bridges and the Authority itself.

Availability of Records

Upon appointment, public records maintained by the NYS Bridge Authority are available for inspection or copying on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the NYS Bridge Authority Headquarters, Mid-Hudson Bridge Plaza, Highland, NY 12528.

Right to Appeal

To the extent you believe you have been denied access to a record by the NYS Bridge Authority, you have thirty (30) days from the date of the determination to take a written appeal. You may make an appeal by writing to:

FOIL guidelines and regulations are established by the

Below are some suggestions for writing your requestThe subject line of your request should be "Request for Information".

   Dear Records Access Officer:

     (1) Please email the following records if possible [include as much detail about the record as possible, such as relevant dates, names, descriptions, etc.]:  or

     (2) Please inform me of the cost of providing paper copies of the following records …

     (3) If all the requested records cannot be emailed to me, please inform me by email of the portions that can be emailed and advise me of the cost for reproducing the remainder of the records requested , or

     (4) If the requested records cannot be emailed to me, please advise me of the actual cost of copying all records onto a CD or floppy disk if the information is available electronically.

(If the request requires duplication of more than 40 pages (8-1/2 x 11) of materials, the cost will be $0.25 per page for every page or actual cost of reproduction for specialized material).
